Michelle M. Guppy is the facilitator for the Northwest Houston Chapter Autism Society of America.
The Northwest Houston Chapter Autism Society of America is a tax-exempt associate member of the Autism Society of America.
We are a current chapter in good standing.
The Autism Society of America is exempt under Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. ASA's federal tax identification number is 52-1020149. ASA also maintains a group exemption (2497) with the IRS.
Our chapter is included in and covered by that group exemption number. Each year our chapter's financial information is combined with that of all other ASA Chapters, and a joint, non-profit tax return (Form 990) is filed by the ASA with the IRS, in addition to the one filed for the ASA National office.
In that --- we, NHC-ASA, depend on donations from those who support the work we do. Anything we do in serving our families, is done as a volunteer effort. We have no payroll. All who are a part of what we do, do it on a volunteer basis.
We feel we are very unique in that.
The money the community gives us, is spent on serving the Autism/Disability Community. Our community. Our city. Our state.
